Dole Plan for Economic Security

Elizabeth Dole’s plan for economic security calls for a war on high gas prices and an effort to increase energy independence.  Specifically, it would:

• Release one-third of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
• Increase domestic production in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and the Rocky Mountains
• Increase energy efficiency and conservation
• Create an Oil and Gas Market Fraud Task Force
• Increase incentives for renewable, clean, U.S. energy – solar, wind, geothermal and nuclear
